Anna McPherson Dip Arch (Brighton) RIBA IHBC FRSA

Anna is a conservation architect with over 30 years' experience principally in historic environment policy and practice gained at English Heritage, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the (then) Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, and in the private sector. She joined the practice (which was re-established as The Paul Drury Partnership) as a partner in October 2002.

Anna has a particular interest in the understanding and management of historic areas, including the impact of new buildings on historic places, and specialises in formulating policy and guidance for the historic environment. She recently rewrote and updated English Heritage's conservation area guidance and has been closely involved in the development of English Heritage's Conservation Principles. She is the business manager for the practice and is responsible for the overall management and delivery of projects.

Anna holds a Diploma in Architecture (Brighton), is registered with ARB, and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, as well as a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts.
