At a public inquiry into potential service areas on the A1(M) in South Yorkshire, a scheme to reverse a service area into a listed 18th century farmstead was successfully resisted.

Expert witness for English Heritage, supporting Westminster City Council, in an appeal inquiry against the refusal of consent for the siting of a new statue of Nelson Mandela in Trafalgar Square: the appeal was dismissed.

London Borough of Lambeth

Expert witness for LB Lambeth in an appeal inquiry against refusal of consent for the overdevelopment of a major site in the Clapham Old Town Conservation Area, successfully defended.

Birmingham City Council

Expert witness for the City Council in two appeal cases concerning proposed residential development in the Jewellery Quarter, to the detriment of its historic character and economy; one withdrawn on receipt of our evidence, the other won at public inquiry.
