Paul Drury FSA MRICS IHBC
Paul established the practice (as Paul Drury: Historic environment policy and practice) in 1997, following five years as Director of English Heritage's London Region, and 25 years previous experience as a chartered surveyor, archaeologist and architectural historian in both the public and private sectors. He is particularly interested in the concept and dynamics of historic area conservation, and major secular buildings of the 16th and 17th centuries.
He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and a Member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, and has published some 60 monographs and papers on aspects of archaeology, architectural history and landscape analysis, as well as conservation practice. He was the chair of the Council of Europe's Steering Committee for Cultural Heritage, 2003-4.
